Victor Melo

Victor Melo is a Sr Machine Learning Engineer at Vic.ai since November 2020. Prior to this, Victor worked as a Data Scientist at Deeper Systems from January 2017 to November 2020. Additionally, Victor was a Research and Development Engineer at Stefanini Brasil from January 2017 to December 2017. Victor holds a Mestrado in Engenharia de Computação from Universidade de Pernambuco and a Bacharelado em Sistemas de Informação in Information Technology from Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco. Victor's expertise includes implementing machine learning algorithms for video/image recognition, developing webapps, and working with technologies such as Python, Flask, Keras, and OpenCV. In a research internship, Victor proposed and developed an approach using Fully Convolutional Networks for stroke level handwritten signature segmentation from complex documents.
