Brandon Moore has a diverse and extensive work experience. Brandon is currently working as a Principal Robotics Software Engineer at Vicarious Surgical Inc. since July 2022. Previously, they worked at MIT Lincoln Laboratory as a Technical Staff member from November 2014 to July 2022. Before that, they worked at Symbotic as a System and Controls Engineer from January 2014 to October 2014, and as a Research Engineer from July 2013 to January 2014. Brandon also had a research contractor role at Toyota from September 2011 to July 2013, where they worked on an autonomous driving project. In addition, Brandon was a Research Fellow at the University of Michigan from September 2009 to August 2011, and a Post-doctoral Researcher at GIPSA-Lab from September 2008 to July 2009. Brandon started their career as a Research Associate at The Ohio State University from September 2002 to June 2007. Before that, they served in various positions in the U.S. Army Ordnance Corps, including Captain, Platoon Leader, and Operations Officer, from June 1997 to April 2002.

Brandon Moore attended the United States Military Academy at West Point from 1993 to 1997, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Brandon then pursued a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The Ohio State University from 2002 to 2007.
