Jesse Rond

Jesse just finished his Master’s degree in robotics from Oregon State University. He worked in the Dynamic Robotics Laboratory where he researched bipedal robotic locomotion. Jesse has published two ASME papers in foot-to-ground impact dynamics as well as a paper researching how social robots can use expressive motion in improvisational theater.

Before his master’s degree, Jesse served eight years in the US Navy, serving tours in the Arabian Gulf and Japan; he still serves in the US Naval Reserves.

His hobbies include juggling, unicycling, improvisational theater, swing dancing, and volunteering as an MC at FIRST robotics tournaments.
