Michael Assraf

Michael Assraf has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Michael is currently the CEO and Co-Founder of Vicarius, a vulnerability remediation company. Under their leadership, the company achieved significant growth, with a total of 5M ARR and 300 paying customers, experiencing 3X growth YoY for two consecutive years. Michael directly manages various aspects of the company, including product, operations, finance, and marketing. Michael also successfully raised $18.6M in VC funding and $8M in venture debt and MRR loan. Additionally, Michael has expertise in self-serve go-to-market strategies, building a strong online presence and a professional community.

Before founding Vicarius, Michael held roles such as Vice President of Research and Development at Atlis Labs, where they led a team and integrated automation solutions for documentation, continuous integration, code repository, project management, and automated testing. Michael also served as a System Architect at Atlis Labs, where they worked on backend development and implemented custom search engine solutions.

Prior to Atlis Labs, Michael worked as the Vice President of Research and Development at cellxpert, where they migrated an old platform to new technologies and released an SDK for Android. Michael also co-founded and managed an independent project called LBiS, where they built location-based applications and integrated Facebook SDK for Android.

Michael's other experiences include working as a Java Developer at Idomoo, a .NET Developer and Software QA Engineer at Secure Islands Technologies, and a NOC Engineer at Deltathree, a VoIP provider. Michael also served as a Task Leader Officer in the Israel Defense Forces and managed large-scale tasks and budgets.

Michael Assraf earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Management of Technology, Innovation & Entrepreneurship (MoTIE) from Tel Aviv University, which they attended from 2014 to 2016. Before that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from Jerusalem College of Engineering between 2008 and 2012. Assraf completed their high school education at Mae Boyer High School from 2003 to 2006, where they received a high school diploma with a focus on Chemistry and Geography. Prior to that, they attended Rene Cassin Junior High from 2000 to 2003, where they also obtained a high school diploma. Additionally, in March 2014, Assraf obtained a certification in Computational Neuroscience from the University of Washington.
