Guy Sidos

CEO at Vicat SA

Guy Sidos was born on September 13, 1963. In 1984, he graduated as an engineer from the Ecole Navale and became a naval officer. He left active service in 1999, after having commanded the nuclear attack submarine “Perle”.

He then joined the Vicat group as a plant engineer. In 2001, he took over the management of the cement plant in Ragland, Alabama, in the United States. In 2002, he was appointed Managing Director of "National Cement", a North American subsidiary of the Vicat group. In 2004, he moved to France to become Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Group, then Chief Executive Officer in 2008. Guy Sidos was appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Vicat group in 2014.

Guy Sidos is committed to defending the sustainability of the French industrial fabric and skilled jobs in the region. It develops research actions that lead to innovations in mineral and biosourced construction materials. It engages the Group in the ecological transition by reducing the carbon footprint of all of its activities and by deploying the virtues of the circular economy.

He holds a citation and the National Defense Gold Medal. Guy Sidos is also an Officer of the National Order of Merit and Knight of the Legion of Honor.
