Chayanid (Ing) Ongpipattanakul has a diverse range of work experience in the field of biochemistry. They started their career as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of California, Los Angeles, where they aided a graduate student in conducting experiments related to cell division. After completing their undergraduate studies, Ing joined the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign as a Graduate Research Assistant, where they performed thesis work in the Department of Biochemistry under Prof. Satish K. Nair.

During their time at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Ing also took on various teaching assistant roles. They served as a Merit Teaching Assistant for the course MCB 150, preparing lectures, administering office hours, and creating problem-solving tasks for students. They also worked as a Teaching Assistant for MCB 151, a laboratory course, and taught and prepared lectures for MCB 354, an introductory biochemistry course.

After their time at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Ing joined the University of California, San Francisco as a Postdoctoral Researcher. In this role, they focused on identifying antibodies against peptides displayed by major histocompatibility complexes (MHCs) using a phage display library. They specifically worked on identifying antibodies capable of binding oncogenic and haptenized peptides displayed by MHCs, with a focus on KRAS G12C lung adenocarcinomas derived peptides.

Currently, Ing is working as a Scientist at Vicinitas Therapeutics. They are part of the Protein Sciences team and their main duties include expression, purification, and characterization of deubiquitinases (DUBs).

Overall, Chayanid (Ing) Ongpipattanakul has gained valuable experience in research, teaching, and protein sciences throughout their career.

Chayanid (Ing) Ongpipattanakul pursued their education in the field of biochemistry. From 2012 to 2016, they attended UCLA and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biochemistry. This laid the foundation for their academic journey.
