Nathaniel Henning

Scientist II at Vicinitas Therapeutics

Nathaniel Henning has extensive work experience in the field of chemical biology and therapeutic research. From August 2019 to May 2022, Henning worked as a PhD Graduate Student in the Chemical Biology Program at the University of California, Berkeley. During this time, they made significant discoveries in the development of deubiquitinase-targeting chimeras (DUBTACs) and covalent inhibitors of SARS-CoV2 Mpro. Prior to this, from September 2017 to June 2019, Henning worked as a Research Technician in the Nathanael Gray Lab at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. In this role, they gained valuable experience in research and laboratory techniques. Henning also worked as a Student Research Assistant in the Research Group of Professor Sunhee Choi from January 2016 to May 2017. Most recently, Henning joined Vicinitas Therapeutics as a Scientist II in May 2022.

Nathaniel Henning completed their high school education at Walt Whitman High School from 2009 to 2013. Nathaniel then pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry at Middlebury College from 2013 to 2017. Nathaniel furthered their education by obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley between 2019 and 2022.
