Samantha Bolanos, CPA, CMA

Samantha Bolanos, CPA, CMA has extensive experience in accounting and finance roles. Samantha currently serves as the Founder/CFO at Vicinity since May 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Ampersand where they held the positions of Chief Financial Officer from January 2022 to May 2023 and Vice President Finance from July 2019 to January 2022. Additionally, Samantha worked at AlasConnect where they held the roles of Controller from January 2019 to July 2019, Senior Accountant from January 2018 to December 2018, and Accountant from March 2014 to December 2017.

Samantha Bolanos, CPA, CMA pursued their education in a chronological manner. Samantha attended the University of Alaska Fairbanks from 2009 to 2011 and obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a focus on Accounting. Prior to that, from 2007 to 2009, they studied Econometrics and Quantitative Economics at UC Irvine, although they did not complete a specific degree during that time.

In addition to their educational background, Samantha Bolanos also holds relevant certifications. Samantha became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) through the Alaska Society of CPAs in November 2015. More recently, in April 2022, they obtained the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification from the Certified Management Accountant: CMA® institution.
