Senior Product Manager at Vicon

Kim Duffy's work experience includes various roles in different organizations. Kim started their career in 2011 as a Gait Analyst at Alder Hey Children's Hospital. In 2012, they worked as a Team Leader for the Catering Department at Everton Football Club and served as a STEM Ambassador for the STEM Network, promoting STEM subjects to young people.

From 2013 to 2016, Kim volunteered as a Physical Therapist Assistant and Gait Analyst at MS-UK Josephs Court, where they created rehabilitative/exercise programs for individuals with multiple sclerosis and conducted gait and balance assessments.

In 2013, they also conducted research projects at the University of Liverpool's Magnetic Resonance and Image Analysis Research Centre (MARIARC), focusing on the effects of real-time gaming on the central nervous system using fMRI.

From 2013 to 2017, Kim had multiple roles at the University of Essex, including Graduate Teaching Assistant, Graduate Laboratory Assistant, and Gait Analyst. Kim also completed their PhD in Biomechanics of Gait, focusing on the effects of age on gait within an older adult population.

From 2015 to 2016, Kim worked as a Research Assistant at the Colchester Hospital University NHS Foundation Trust, where they conducted research on the effectiveness of exercise interventions for individuals prone to falling.

In 2017, Kim joined Vicon as a Support Engineer before progressing to roles as a Product Manager and then Senior Product Manager, starting in 2018.

Throughout their career, Kim has conducted various research studies, supervised students, and gained expertise in areas such as gait analysis, exercise interventions, and biomechanics.

Kim Duffy's education history is as follows:

- From 2013 to 2017, Kim attended the University of Essex and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Gait Analysis and Biomechanics.

- In 2012, Kim studied at Liverpool John Moores University and earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Biomechanics of Gait and Posture (MSc), with a focus on Gait Analysis.

- From 2009 to 2012, Kim also attended Liverpool John Moores University and completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Sports Science (Biomechanics) with a concentration in Sports and Exercise Science.

Kim Duffy has also obtained various certifications, including:

- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) from Scrum Alliance in April 2023.

- Leadership certification from Ivy House London in November 2022.

- Product Focus Certified Product Manager from Product Focus in September 2019.

- Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy from the Higher Education Academy in July 2016.

- Introduction to Programming Using Python from Microsoft in June 2016.

- Prozone Level 1 (Performance Analyst) certification from Prozone Sports Ltd in 2011.
