Kirby Hayes is a lawyer currently practicing civil litigation and family law at Cook Roberts LLP, where employment started in 2019. In addition to legal practice, Kirby serves as a board member for the Victoria Cool Aid Society since September 2020, contributing to efforts aimed at ending homelessness through community-based solutions. Previous experience includes working as a lawyer and articled student at MacIsaac and MacIsaac Barristers & Solicitors from 2016 to 2019, volunteering for Restorative Justice Victoria from 2015 to 2019, interning at the Legal Services Office of CAMH in 2014, and volunteering with Pro Bono Students Canada at Dalhousie University from 2013 to 2014.
