Sam Whatmore

Sam Whatmore is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry and a strong educational background in accounting and finance. Currently serving as EGM Finance and IT at Victoria Racing Club since May 2015, Sam previously held the role of Financial Director Australia at Oceaneering from July 2007 to May 2015, following a tenure as Financial Controller at AGR Asia Pacific from July 2007 to December 2011. This transition at Oceaneering occurred after the acquisition of AGR's Field Operations business. Prior to these roles, Sam worked as a Senior Manager at Pitcher Partners from March 1998 to June 2007. Sam holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne and has further qualifications from the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
