Aliaksandr Valialkin

Aliaksandr Valialkin is a seasoned software engineer and entrepreneur with extensive experience in the tech industry. As the founder of VictoriaMetrics since January 2018, Aliaksandr has focused on developing a premier time series database and remote storage solution for Prometheus. Prior to this, Aliaksandr served as a software engineer at VertaMedia, where significant contributions were made to create cost-effective ad serving infrastructure and transition backend languages. Aliaksandr's leadership as CTO at NextAdNet led to innovative revenue sharing schemes and substantial reductions in hosting costs. With a strong foundation in software engineering, Aliaksandr has held various roles across multiple companies since beginning a career in 2001, culminating in a Master's degree in Computer Software Engineering from Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics.
