Matthew Rowan has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. In 1997, they achieved first place in their course at East Sydney Tafe Hospitality Campus, where they obtained a Cert II in Hospitality Operations. In 1998, Matthew completed a Hospitality Management Cert IV at East Sydney Institute Of Tafe, specializing in hospitality supervision/management, HR, IR, accounting, and marketing.

In 2012, Matthew pursued further education in business management, business administration, and management strategy and operations by obtaining an Advanced Diploma of Management from Skills Training Australia. Matthew continued their professional development by upgrading their workplace training and assessment certification to the new Workplace Training & Assessment Cert IV TAE40116, which they completed in 2013.

Matthew has also sought additional knowledge in various fields through online platforms such as Shaw Academy and Udemy. Matthew focused on copywriting, marketing, SEO, business strategy, and neuro-linguistic programming (NLP).

Furthermore, Matthew has attended leadership programs to enhance their leadership and management skills. In 2016, they participated in the Impact Leadership Program at Proteus Leadership. Matthew further expanded their leadership abilities in 2017 with the Think! Leadership program, also offered by Proteus Leadership.

Most recently, Matthew obtained a certification in "Day to Day Management and Supervision of Staff" from the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The month of completion for this certification is not provided, but it was obtained in the year 2023.
