Ann Wu has a diverse work experience in the fields of medical communications, genetic services, and laboratory tutoring. Ann has worked as a Business Development Lead and Clinical Liaison at Victorian Clinical Genetics Services (VCGS) since 2020, where they support healthcare professionals and diagnoses patients with rare and complex conditions. Prior to this, Ann worked as a Medical Scientific Liaison at IDeal Genetics, Marketing and Field Applications Manager at Leica Microsystems, and Laboratory Tutor at the University of Technology Sydney. Ann also has experience in medical communications, having worked as an Account Director at Ward6 Australia, The Medical Collective, and MediTech Media. Additionally, Ann has worked as an Account Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific, a Technical Officer at Centenary Institute, and a Postdoc Neuroscientist at UNSW.
Ann Wu completed their education in neuroscience and related fields. Ann obtained a Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience & Genetics from The University of Auckland in 2003, followed by a Master's degree in Neuroscience & Biotechnology from the same institution in 2005. Ann then pursued a PhD in Neuroscience at UNSW from 2006 to 2009. In 2018 and 2020, they engaged in psychotherapy studies at Metavision.
