Sagalee Omer

Sagalee Omer is a Community Project Worker at the Victorian Foundation for Survivors of Torture Inc – Foundation House, actively engaging with young people from African Australian backgrounds to promote mental health and well-being through culturally safe group programs. As the Founder and Director of Shooters Shoot Pty Ltd, Sagalee has successfully organized charitable basketball tournaments, raising over $16,000 in its inaugural year to support youth mental health during Covid-19 lockdowns. Additionally, Sagalee founded LOCATIONest, an initiative focused on storytelling about Melbourne. Previous experience includes a Retail Salesworker role at Culture Kings and educational achievement with a Diploma of Business from RMIT University.
