Hans de Boer

Hans de Boer is a forensic pathologist with extensive experience in forensic medicine and pathology. Currently serving at the Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine since April 2021, de Boer contributes to the provision of critical forensic evidence to support the justice system in Australia. Prior to this role, de Boer worked as a forensic pathologist at the Netherlands Forensic Institute from July 2017 to March 2021, and served as a consultant pathologist at the Amsterdam UMC's Department of Pathology from January 2013 to March 2021. Additional experience includes work in Disaster Victim Identification as a medical officer with Politie Nederland and research in physical anthropology at Barge's Anthropologica. De Boer completed a Doctor of Medicine degree at Leiden University in 2011, following pre-university education at Zernike College.
