George Williams AMIChemE has a diverse work experience in the chemical engineering field. George started their career in 2012 as a Laboratory Technician at Johnson Matthey, where they worked in various teams such as Getters, Modelling of Powders, and Zeolites. In these roles, they gained skills in conducting tests, analyzing materials, and handling changeable workloads.
In 2014, George joined Huntsman as a Customer Services Technologist, where they excelled in testing pigment samples and developing production research and development procedures.
George then worked as a Process Development Technician at Applied Graphene Materials from 2015 to 2017. During this time, they gained valuable experience in making graphene, running process parameters, and testing its final properties.
In 2017, George joined the CPI as a Process Engineer, and subsequently took on roles as an Engineer 2 and Senior Chemical Engineer. In these positions, they focused on process optimization, development of novel technologies, and process improvement.
Currently, George is employed at Victrex as a Process Improvement Engineer, starting in 2023.
George Williams AMIChemE completed their education in a chronological order. George first attended Durham University from 2007 to 2010, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mathematics. Following this, they enrolled at Teesside University from 2013 to 2018, and achieved a First Class Honours, BEng - Bachelor's of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering. Finally, from 2019 to 2021, George pursued further studies at Teesside University and obtained an MSc degree in Chemical Engineering.
