Salma Khan

Salma Khan began their work experience in 2013 at the NHS, where they worked as a Hospital Administrator and also gained experience as a Healthcare Scientist and Prosthesis Technician through university summer placements. In 2015, they took on a role as a Student Ambassador at the University of Bradford. In 2016, Salma joined DePuy Synthes as a Graduate Engineer and later transitioned to a role as a Production Engineer, where they worked on projects involving additive manufacture of patient-specific implants. Salma also gained training in various areas such as process validation and Six Sigma Yellow Belt. In 2021, Salma became a Senior Engineer in Product Management and focused on technical leadership in new product development engineering and manufacturing transfers. Currently, Salma works at Victrex as a Senior NPI Engineer, starting in 2023.

Salma Khan completed their education with a Master of Science (MS) degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the University of Bradford. Salma pursued this degree from 2015 to 2016. Prior to that, they also obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the same university, which they completed from 2012 to 2015. In terms of additional certifications, Salma Khan received the Johnson and Johnson Machine Safety certification from Schmersal UK & Ireland in November 2019.
