Priyantha Wijayasingha, CA, CMA, MBA (Finance)

Priyantha Wijayasingha has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Priyantha started their career as an Audit Trainee at Jayasinghe & Co. (Chartered Accountants) in 2009, where they gained experience in external auditing and the preparation of statutory financial statements. Priyantha was promoted to the role of Audit Supervisor in 2010, where they supervised external audits and maintained client audit files. In 2011, they became an Assistant Manager - Audit and Assurance, taking on more responsibilities such as planning and supervising assurance engagements and advising on accounting requirements.

In 2012, Priyantha transitioned to the corporate financial management and accounting field by joining Brandix as an Account Executive. Here, they prepared consolidated financial statements for management, shareholders, and statutory purposes. Priyantha was also involved in implementing IFRS/SLFRS within the group.

In 2014, Priyantha worked as an Accountant at Diesel & Motor Engineering PLC before joining Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) in 2015. At MACL, they served as a Chief Accountant and later as a Senior Finance Manager. In these roles, they prepared financial statements, reconciled accounts, implemented new accounting standards, liaised with auditors, and managed tax returns and workings.

In 2020, Priyantha became a Founding Director at Infinity Space Business School (Pvt) Ltd. Priyantha formulated strategies, oversaw financial management activities, and monitored the performance of the online Learning Management System.

More recently, in 2022, Priyantha has worked as an Accountant at both Inventa Capital Corp. and Vida Carbon.

Priyantha Wijayasingha obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance (SP) from Wayamba University of Sri Lanka, completing the program from 2007 to 2011. In 2007, they also started their studies at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and became a Chartered Accountant by 2012, specializing in Accounting and Finance.

During their time at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, Priyantha Wijayasingha enrolled in additional programs. Firstly, they pursued studies at AAT Sri Lanka from 2005 to 2006, although the details regarding the degree obtained and field of study are not specified.
