Linton Garner currently serves as a Panel Member on the Official Languages Expert Panel of the Court Challenges Program and is actively involved with the Cross-Cultural Round Table on Security and the Western Quebec School Board as a Council Member. In addition, Linton holds the position of Executive Director at the CEGEP Heritage College Foundation and serves as the Head Basketball Coach for the Men's AA Basketball Team at Cégep Heritage College. Other endeavors include membership in the City of Ottawa's Municipal Commemoration Policy Advisory Group and serving as a Grants Officer for the Community Perspective on Mental Health. Linton also acts as the Quebec Regional Director for the Canadian Association of Black Journalists and directs Sales & Marketing at Blacbiblio.com, while hosting the CityLife program on MAtv Outaouais. Linton Garner obtained a Graduate Diploma in Community Economic Development from Concordia University and studied at Dawson College from 1970 to 1973.
