Ellen McGettigan has worked in the creative industry since 2014. Ellen began their career as a Booth Attendant at Booth Revolution Ltd in 2014. In 2016, they took on a Creative Placement role at J. Walter Thompson Worldwide, where they worked on Kenco Coffee and KitKat. Ellen then moved to VCCP in 2017, where they created More Than's most viewed piece of content to date, and worked on the release of the Samsung Galaxy S8 for O2 and the brand re-launch for Canon. In the same year, they took on a Creative Placement role at isobel, where they made social content for Maoam and David Lloyd and was part of the Brewdog team when they first won the account. In 2018, they took on Creative Placement roles at Saatchi & Saatchi London and AnalogFolk. At Saatchi & Saatchi London, they created films to recruit runners for the charity race Sprintathon, and worked proactively on Marie Curie. At AnalogFolk, they created social content for Marmite which lead to increased sales of their personalised jars, and developed ideas for the improvement of the Nike+ apps and membership. Finally, in 2018, they took on the role of Lead Creative Strategist at Vidsy.
Ellen McGettigan began their education in 2005 at St John Fishers, Harrogate. Ellen then attended Leeds Arts University from 2012 to 2013, where they earned an Art Foundation in Advertising. In 2013, they began their Bachelor's Degree in Creative Advertising at the University of Lincoln, which they completed in 2016.
