Chanaka Dehikumbura

Chanaka Dehikumbura is a seasoned Project Manager at Vidullanka PLC, with experience managing the Kumu and Moco Moco Mini Hydro Projects in Guyana, both scheduled for commissioning in March 2024. Previously serving as a Senior Mechanical Engineer - Assistant Manager, Chanaka oversaw the procurement, supply, installation, and commissioning of various mechanical systems for these projects. Additionally, Chanaka conducted mechanical risk assessments and turbine efficiency tests for five operational hydro power projects in Rwanda in early 2023. Chanaka's career began as an Engineering Trainee at the Ceylon Electricity Board, focusing on thermal power operations. Chanaka holds a B.Sc. (Honours) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, obtained in 2016.
