Head Of Next Generation Sequencing Facility at Vienna BioCenter Core Facilities (VBCF) GmbH

Andreas Sommer has extensive experience in genomic sequencing and laboratory management, currently serving as the Head of the Next Generation Sequencing Facility at Vienna Biocenter Core Facilities (VBCF) GmbH since March 2011, where Andreas also holds roles as Interim Co-Managing Director and Substitute of the Director. Prior to this, Andreas Sommer worked as a Sequencing Specialist in the IMP/IMBA/GMI Genomics Core Facility from 2009 to 2011 and at the Research Institute of Molecular Pathology from 2008 to 2009. Earlier career roles include Laboratory Manager at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna, a Research Technician at Affiris AG, and Laboratory Technician at the Research Institute of Molecular Pathology.
