Philips Nguyen is a Software Engineer at Zebra Technologies since July 2021, where responsibilities include collaborating with a scrum team to implement and launch scalable Java Springboot gRPC APIs for a cloud-based SAAS product while ensuring production stability as an on-call support engineer. In addition to professional experience, Philips serves as the Volunteer Technology Regional Lead for the Vietnamese Eucharistic Youth Movement, overseeing technology decisions and managing initiatives. Previous experience includes a role as a Software Engineer at Northwestern Mutual from May 2016 to July 2021, where Philips contributed to developing Java services and scalable REST APIs, alongside serving as an Application Development Intern, focusing on application support and proactive solutions. Philips obtained a degree in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2018.

The Vietnamese Eucharistic Youth Movement is a non-profit organization, under the leadership of the Catholic Church. Its aim is to teach youths to be virtuous people and good Christians. It also offers apostolate services for the youth. Throughout its years of service, the Movement has kept pace with social and cultural changes of the day in an attempt to reach out to the youth of all times.
