Jean Gray

CEO at Viewpoint Housing Association

Jean Gray is the current CEO of Viewpoint. Jean has over 25 years of experience in the housing and construction industry.

Jean started their career in the housing industry in 1986 as a Domestic Services Manager for NHS Lothian. Jean then moved to Roxburgh District Council in 1993, where they worked as a Homeless Caretaker. In 1996, they transferred to Scottish Borders Council, where they became the Area Housing Co-ordinator.

In 2001, Jean became the Housing Services Manager for Scottish Borders Housing Association (SBHA). Jean was responsible for overall strategic planning for housing, technical, and development services. In 2005, they left SBHA to become the Operations Director for Berwickshire Housing Association.

During their time at Berwickshire Housing Association, Jean was responsible for a wide range of operations, including housing, technical services, and development. Jean was also a member of the Leadership Team. In 2019, they left Berwickshire Housing Association to become the CEO of Viewpoint.

Jean has a long history of working in the housing industry and has extensive experience in strategic planning, operations management, and leadership.

Jean Gray has a post graduate degree in Housing and Human Environments from Heriot-Watt University. Jean also has a certification from the Society of Leadership Fellows in Leadership Fellow. Additionally, they have a certification from The Institute of Leadership & Management in Diploma in Management. Lastly, they have a certification from Queen Margaret University in Post Graduate in Housing; Diploma in Management; HND in Institutional Management & Hotel Catering.
