Associate Director, Patient Advocacy at Vigil Neuro

Clarissa Martinez-Rubio is an experienced professional in the field of neuroscience and patient advocacy, currently serving as the Associate Director of Patient Advocacy at Vigil Neuroscience since July 2023. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Director of Clinical Affairs and Education at DIXI medical from February 2020 to July 2023, and Senior Director of Clinical Affairs at the Parkinson's Foundation from May 2016 to January 2020, where Clarissa also held the position of Director of Research and Center Programs. Previous academic roles include Instructor of Neurosurgery at Harvard Medical School and Assistant in Neuroscience at Massachusetts General Hospital. Early career efforts encompassed research assistance in confocal microscopy at the Institute of Neurobiology in Puerto Rico. Clarissa holds a PhD in Neurobiology and Anatomy from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine and completed postdoctoral research training in Neurophysiology at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital.
