Peter Varadi

Peter Varadi has over 20 years of experience in engineering and technology. From 2000 to 2001, they worked as an Innovator for Siemens Technology-to-Business, where they designed a patented, low-cost, piezoelectric motor technology and co-founded the Siemens TTB portfolio company Elliptec Resonant Actuator AG for the design and manufacture of piezoelectric motors, actuators and drive systems. From 2006 to 2011, they served as Chief Operating Officer at Elliptec, Inc. From 2001 to 2011, they were the owner of Peter C. Varadi Science & Engineering Consulting, where they conducted R&D and product development with technology-to-business focus, managed an intellectual property portfolio, and assisted inventors in the process of securing meaningful and business-relevant legal protection. Lastly, from 2011 to present, they have been the Director of Engineering and Principal Systems Engineer at Vigilent, where they are pioneering the use of machine learning and predictive analytics to deliver real-time cooling optimization in mission-critical environments.

Peter Varadi received their Dipl.Ing. ETH from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH), Zürich in 1994. Peter then continued their studies at the University of California, Berkeley, where they earned their M.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 1996 and their Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering in 1999.
