Rashi Bhavsar

Rashi Bhavsar is an accomplished biotechnology professional with extensive experience in synthetic biology and innovative solutions for health challenges. Currently serving as the Founder & Chief Mosquito Nemesis at Algaevity, Rashi focuses on using biotechnological approaches to eradicate mosquitoes sustainably. As a Kalpana 'Rashi For STEM' Fellow at VigyanShaala International, Rashi engages with global STEM leaders while receiving guidance from established scientists. Rashi is also an OpenSynBio Ambassador in India, working to cultivate a regional synthetic biology community. Achievements include being an iGEM Startup Showcase Finalist, an active participant in the Indian Smart Protein Innovation Challenge, and recognition as a top scorer in related programs. Rashi's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology from Bangalore University, complemented by various research internships and training in molecular biology techniques.
