Nils Olsson

Nils Olsson is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Currently serving as Senior Vice President of Technical Operations at Viking Therapeutics, Inc., Nils focuses on developing novel therapeutics for metabolic and endocrine disorders. Previous positions include Vice President of CMC at Cerus, where Nils managed drug-device-biologics combination products and external CMOs, and Director of Regulatory Affairs CMC at Gilead Sciences, overseeing global regulatory strategy for a diverse portfolio of biologics and pharmaceuticals. Nils has held leadership roles at Retrophin and Sangart, Inc., and has a strong background in quality control, analytical chemistry, and regulatory affairs, complemented by a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Stockholm University.
