Louis Monaco

Louis Monaco has had a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of orthopedic product development. Louis started their career in 2006 as a Product Development Engineer at Ortho Development and worked there until 2009. Louis then joined OrthoPro, LLC in 2009 as a Product Development Engineer, where they played a crucial role in helping the company grow and sell to a publicly traded company for $36MM. Louis was instrumental in designing and developing various orthopedic implant systems and obtaining ISO 13485 certification.

In 2014, Louis joined Wright Medical as a Product Development Engineer and later became a Senior Product Development Engineer. In this role, they managed projects and led cross-functional teams to develop extremities implants and instruments. Louis also led new product development project teams, ensuring project goals were met on time and on budget. Louis communicated with key stakeholders and executive management throughout projects and developed cost-efficient implants and disposable instrumentation for Ambulatory Surgery Centers. Louis also developed procedure-specific implants and instrumentation, created marketing literature, and planned and executed cadaver labs for innovative product development.

Currently, Louis holds the position of Vice President of Operations & Engineering at Vilex, where they are responsible for overseeing operations and engineering functions. Louis'sprevious position at Vilex was Director of Operations & Engineering.

Louis Monaco has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance and Marketing from Brigham Young University Marriott School of Business. Additionally, they hold a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Utah. Monaco has also obtained the Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) certification from ASQ.
