Anne Olson

Anne Olson has a diverse work experience, starting from 1981 until their retirement in 2015. Anne began their career as a Programmer Analyst at the City of San Jose and then moved on to work as an Application Support Manager at Hewlett-Packard. At Hewlett-Packard, they managed a global team in Europe and the US, overseeing critical applications and managing a budget of $7 million. Anne also served as a Training Manager, providing tools and training to domestic Pre-Sales Call Center agents. After their time at Hewlett-Packard, they worked as a Business Consultant at The Dharma Group, where they helped small business owners optimize their operations and increase profitability. From 2009 onwards, Anne joined Village Enterprise as the Director of Africa Operations, focusing on poverty reduction and microenterprise development in sub-Saharan Africa. In this role, they empowered individuals living in extreme poverty by equipping them with the necessary resources to start sustainable businesses. Finally, Anne retired in 2015.
