The Village Family Service Center
Micah Curtiss, M.Ed. LPCC, NCC, is a skilled mental health professional with extensive experience in various therapeutic roles. Currently serving as a School Based Mental Health Therapist at The Village Family Service Center since June 2017, Micah specializes in counseling K-12 students using trauma-focused and play-based techniques. In addition, Micah has provided intensive in-home family therapy for diverse clients and serves as a Direct Support Professional for adults with disabilities at CCRI, focusing on independent living and community engagement. Previous roles include serving as an On Call Emergency Advocate at the Rape and Abuse Crisis Center, where Micah collaborated with nursing staff and law enforcement to support victims in crisis, and working as a counseling intern for individuals affected by relationship violence. Micah's academic background includes a M.Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a BS in Human Development and Family Science from North Dakota State University.
