Michael J. Garvey has extensive work experience as an attorney specializing in criminal defense law. Michael J. co-founded the law firm, Stringini & Garvey, P.C., in 1991, where they served as a partner. Michael J.'spractice focused on criminal defense cases across multiple counties in Illinois, including Cook, DuPage, Will, Lake, and Kane. Michael J. also handled Secretary of State Drivers License Hearings.
In addition to their legal career, Garvey has held public office in the Village of Brookfield, Illinois. Michael J. served as the Village President twice, from 2005 to 2013 and from 2021 to present.
Michael J. Garvey pursued their education at DePaul University from 1985 to 1988, where they completed a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science. Following this, they attended the University of Illinois College of Law from 1988 to 1991, earning a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in Law.
