Eric Venden

Eric Venden has extensive experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), currently serving as the GIS Administrator and Coordinator for the Village of Gurnee since September 1998. In this role, Eric is responsible for creating, maintaining, and supporting GIS data, applications, and activities, and acts as the system administrator for the LAMA system, which encompasses permitting, planning projects, licensing, and code enforcement. Prior to this, Eric held significant positions including GIS Manager for Winnebago County LWCD, where responsibilities included building GIS layers and administering the Farmland Preservation Program. Eric also contributed to the GIS community as a Board Member for ILGISA and as President of the Illinois Municipal Arc Users Group. Eric earned a Bachelor of Science in Geography from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and furthered education at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.
