Matthew Blackburn

Matthew Blackburn is a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in datacenter operations and service management. Currently serving as Senior Manager of IT Service and Datacenter Operations at UChicago Medicine since November 2016, Matthew oversees the IT Service Desk, Datacenter Operations, and Major Incident Teams, managing three datacenters and over 100 IT spaces. Previous roles include Datacenter Manager and Lead Data Center Engineer within the same organization, which involved significant responsibilities in infrastructure management and vendor coordination. Matthew has also held key positions at UBS Investment Bank and Perot Systems, with a strong track record in service delivery, technical support, and operations management. In addition to IT roles, Matthew serves as a Plan Commissioner for the Village of New Lenox. Matthew holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Governors State University and an Associate degree from Joliet Junior College.
