Bruce Morris Jr. has over two decades of law enforcement experience, currently serving as Watch Commander for the Village of Palatine since September 1999, where supervision includes over 30 employees focused on community safety and service. Previous roles include Commander of Planning & Research, overseeing departmental operational development and policy updates, and serving as Patrol Supervisor and Police Sergeant from July 2015 to September 2020. In addition, Bruce Morris is an Adjunct Faculty Instructor at Harper College since August 2019, holding a Level II Adjunct Faculty Designation as of August 2022. Bruce Morris also served as Director for the Palatine Police & Fire Benevolent Association Charities from December 2008 to December 2015. Educational qualifications include advanced training from the FBI National Academy in 2023 and a Master of Science with Distinction in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management from DePaul University, along with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Illinois State University.
