Village of Romeoville
Josh Potter has had a diverse range of work experience in the field of community development and planning. Josh started their career as a Planning Intern at DuPage County in February 2000 and later became a Planner. Josh then moved to the Village of Lisle, where they served as a Village Planner and eventually became a Senior Planner/Economic Development Coordinator. In 2013, they joined the Village of Romeoville as an Assistant Community Development Director and later became the Community Development Director. Prior to joining DuPage County, Josh also held the role of Zoning Administration Coordinator at the company.
Josh Potter obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography/Public Administration from Western Illinois University in 1999. Josh later pursued a Master of Urban Planning and Public Policy from the University of Illinois Chicago, which they completed in 2008. In July 2005, they obtained certification from the American Planning Association's American Institute of Certified Planners.
