Max Slankard has extensive experience in public administration and management, currently serving as the Director of Public Works for the Village of Skokie since June 2006. In this role, Max directs daily operations and long-term planning for a public works organization that serves a community of 64,000 residents with a staff of 104 full-time employees. Prior to this position, Max held the title of Village Manager for the Village of Kenilworth from February 2002 to June 2006, and worked at The City of Lake Forest from June 1994 to February 2002, where Max served as Superintendent of Public Works and Assistant to the City Manager. Max holds a Master of Public Administration degree from The University of Kansas and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government from the same institution.
