Director Of Community & Economic Development at Village of Villa Park

Marc McLaughlin AICP GISP has a strong background in community and economic development. Marc currently serves as the Director of Community & Economic Development for the Village of Villa Park. Prior to this, they held the position of Director of Community Development at the same organization.

Before joining the Village of Villa Park, Marc worked as a Land Acquisition Manager at M/I Home, Inc. and as a Land Entitlement Manager at Taylor Morrison.

Marc has also gained experience in community development through various roles at the Village of South Elgin, including Director of Community Development, Community Development Coordinator, and Planner. Prior to that, they worked as a Planner at McHenry County.

Marc McLaughlin AICP GISP completed their Bachelor of Science in Physical Geography at Illinois State University in 2004. Marc obtained their first certification, AICP Certified, from the American Institute of Certified Planners in December 2015. In June 2012, they obtained the GISP certification from the GIS Certification Institute (GISCI).
