Christopher Nelson

Village President at Village of West Dundee

Christopher Nelson has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple companies and roles. Starting in 1993, they began their career as an Administrative Intern at the City of Sycamore. Christopher then moved on to the Village of Schaumburg, where they worked as an Administrative Consultant from January 1994 to October 1999. In 1996, they joined the Village of Hoffman Estates as Assistant to the Director of Community Development, eventually taking on roles such as acting Director of Code Enforcement and acting Director of Human Resources. From October 2003 to February 2023, Christopher worked at Comcast, initially as Manager of Government & Regulatory Affairs, then as Director of Government & Regulatory Affairs, and finally as Senior Director of Local Government Affairs Policy and Operations. Christopher'smost recent role, starting in May 2013, was as the Mayor of the Village of West Dundee.

Christopher Nelson obtained a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Northern Illinois University in 1993. Christopher later pursued a Master's degree in Public Administration from the same university, which they completed in 1997. Prior to attending university, Christopher attended Hoffman Estates High School.
