CS Muncy is an accomplished photojournalist currently working with CBS News since January 2024 and also serving as a photographer and videographer with the 4th Combat Camera Squadron since March 2020. With a freelance career spanning over a decade, Muncy has contributed to prominent publications such as The New York Times, Village Voice Media, and Newsday Media Group, capturing significant metro and national stories as well as long-form narratives on topics such as the NYPD Tapes and the Black Lives Matter Movement. Previous roles include serving as a photographer and photo editor for the White House Communications Agency, where Muncy produced impactful videos of government events, and working as a combat correspondent for the 106th Rescue Wing. Muncy possesses a Bachelor's degree in Human Rights from Columbia University and has received training in military photojournalism at the Defense Information School.
