Charles Folk is a Professor and Director of the Cognitive Science Program at Villanova University, where Charles has worked since 1989. Prior to this role, Charles served as an Adjunct Research Professor at Syracuse University from 1988 to 1989 and held the position of NSF Research Fellow at NASA's Ames Research Center while associated with the National Research Council from 1987 to 1988. Additionally, Charles was the Editor for Visual Cognition at Taylor & Francis Group from January 2012 to 2016. Charles Folk earned a Ph.D. and an MA in Experimental Psychology from Johns Hopkins University, completing the Ph.D. in 1987 and the MA in 1985, after obtaining a BA in Psychology from Gettysburg College in 1981.
