Philip Cistrone

Philip Cistrone is a seasoned professional in the field of chemistry with extensive experience in drug discovery and biotechnology. Currently serving as Associate Director of Chemistry at Vilya since May 2023, Philip contributes to the development of novel medicines aimed at targeting disease biology. Previously, Philip was Group Lead and Scientist at 1859 Inc from November 2019 to May 2023, where efforts focused on microfluidic DNA encoded library platforms. Philip's earlier roles include Postdoctoral Scientist at Drug Delivery Experts, Graduate Student at The Scripps Research Institute, and Undergraduate Research Fellow at the University of Rochester, with a solid educational background that includes a PhD in Chemistry from Scripps Research and a BS in Biochemistry from the University of Rochester.
