Robin Wels

Robin Wels has experience working as a Finance Director for VINCI Energies NL, Verkerk, and VanderLinden starting in 2023. Prior to that, they served as an External professional Examination Committee member at Avans Hogeschool from 2013. Additionally, they held roles at Actemium Nederland, including Deputy Finance Director from 2022-2023, Head of Finance from 2017-2022, and Business Unit Manager Shared Services from 2019-2020. Robin also has experience as a Senior Advisor at Montesquieu and EY from 2016-2017 and 2014-2016 respectively. They have held positions at Canon Nederland N.V. as a Business Controller from 2011-2014, at Refresco as an Assistent-Controller Benelux from 2009-2011, and at Wammes & van der Sman financial services B.V. as an Interim Financial from 2006-2007.

Robin Wels has a diverse educational background. Robin began their education at ds. Pierson College, where they studied HAVO. After completing their HAVO, Robin went on to Avans University of Applied Sciences, where they obtained their Bachelor's degree in Business Economics from 2002 to 2007.

Seeking further education, Robin enrolled at Tilburg University in 2007 and completed a Pre-Master in Accountancy the following year. Robin then pursued a Master's degree in Accountancy from 2008 to 2011 at the same university.

To enhance their skills and knowledge in the finance and control fields, Robin attended the TIAS School for Business and Society from 2013 to 2015. Here, they earned an Executive Master in Register Controller (RC) and Executive Master of Finance and Control (EMFC).

Throughout their career, Robin has also obtained various certifications. These include an IFRS accreditation from EY in July 2015, and certifications in Business Valuation, Actief in overnames, MD Financial Control, MD Talentmanagement, and MD Change Management, all obtained between 2018 and 2022 from institutions such as Alex van Groningen BV, VINCI Energies NL, and Koninklijke PBNA.
