Adam Apicella is a founding member of the esports movement. He was Major League Gaming's first hire in 2003, where he operated every event in company history, including the MLG Pro Circuit and the X Games, awarding the first medals for esports athletes. Thirteen years later, he became Vice President of Esports Event Operations at Blizzard where he operated the Call of Duty World League and helped launch the Overwatch League and Call of Duty League. In September 2019, Adam co-founded Esports Engine to provide a full esports solutions platform. Adam received a degree in Sports Management from Ohio University.
