Shannon Burrows has a diverse work experience in the sports industry. Shannon began their career in 2008 as a Ticketing and Sales Executive for The Rochester Americans and Knighthawks Sports Clubs. Shannon then transitioned into the role of Promotions and Suite Services Coordinator, where they were responsible for organizing and overseeing game entertainment and promotional activities. In 2011, Shannon joined The Florida Everblades and The Germain Arena as the Manager of Sponsorship Activation and Game Night Experience. Shannon successfully managed sponsorships and enhanced the game night experience for fans. In 2014, Shannon joined the Tampa Bay Lightning as a Partnership Activation Manager. Shannon later became the Sr. Partnership Activation Manager, overseeing partnerships and driving activation strategies. In 2021, Shannon joined Vinik Sports Group as the Director of VSG Properties & Engagement. Shannon currently holds this role with the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Shannon Burrows holds a Masters degree in Sport Administration from Canisius University, which was obtained from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelors degree in Sport Management from the State University of New York Cortland between 2004 and 2008. Shannon has also obtained a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education in 2021.
