Claus Bunkenborg

Claus Bunkenborg is the CEO of MobilePay. Claus has over 18 years of experience in management consulting and banking.

Claus started their career at PwC Consulting in 2001 and spent three years there as a managing consultant and service offering leader. In 2004, they left to join Future Lab Business Consulting as a senior manager and partner. There, they consulted on optimisation and development of contact centres and customer service organisations for clients such as SAS, Viasat, Telia, TDC, Nordea Liv & Pension, SEAS-NVE, Topdanmark, and BRFkredit.

In 2006, Claus joined Danske Bank as First Vice President. Claus spent eight years there, heading up channel management, business development, and the customer interaction programme for personal banking. In 2015, they were promoted to Senior Vice President, Personal Banking. In this role, they were responsible for digital channels & service concepts, products, payments & pricing, risk, and PMO. In 2017, they took on the role of head of special projects for financial infrastructure and payments before becoming CEO of MobilePay in 2018.

Claus Bunkenborg has an Executive MBA from Copenhagen Business School, a Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management from Copenhagen Business School, a B.A. in Modern Culture & Film Studies from Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen, and a High School Diploma in Mathematics and Chemistry from Haderslev Katedralskole. Claus also has Board Education in Banking & Mortgage Credit from CBS Executive Fonden.
