Jamieson Sheffield

Jamieson Sheffield has extensive work experience in the biotechnology industry. Jamieson is currently working at Vir Biotechnology, Inc. as a Sr. Director, Market Analysis & Strategy. Prior to that, they held the positions of Director, Market Analysis & Strategy and Associate Director, Market Analysis & Strategy at the same company from 2021 to 2023 and from 2020 to 2021, respectively.

Before joining Vir Biotechnology, Inc., Jamieson worked at Genentech, where they served as a Cross Portfolio Lead, Product Development Strategy from 2018 to 2020. Jamieson also worked as a Group Manager, Market Analysis & Strategy from 2014 to 2018, a Sr. Manager, Product Development Operations from 2011 to 2014, and a Manager, Development Sciences from 2008 to 2011.

Prior to their tenure at Genentech, Jamieson worked at Alere Inc. as a Supervisor, Sample Bank from 2006 to 2008. Jamieson also gained experience at Biosite as a Research Associate II, Marker Discovery from 2004 to 2006 and at Tanabe Research Laboratories U.S.A, Inc. as a Research Consultant in 2004.

Jamieson's earliest work experience was as a Laboratory Assistant at The Scripps Research Institute from 2001 to 2003.

Jamieson Sheffield completed an MBA degree at The Wharton School from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they obtained a B.S. degree in Molecular Biology from UC San Diego from 2000 to 2003. In addition to their formal education, Jamieson has obtained several certifications including being a Registered Patent Agent with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, a Certified ScrumMaster® with the Scrum Alliance, completing the Executive Data Science specialization by Johns Hopkins University on Coursera, and completing the Machine Learning with TensorFlow specialization by Google on Coursera.
