Melanie Young

Melanie Young has a diverse work experience spanning over many years. Melanie most recently served as the Director of Quality Assurance Systems and Compliance at Vir Biotechnology, Inc., starting in 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. as the Director of R&D Quality Assurance - Strategic Advice from 2020 to 2022.

Melanie also has a long history with Amgen, where they held several positions including Pharmacovigilance Senior Manager, Compliance Lead from 2015 to 2020, GRAAS Operations Senior Manager, Alliance Quality Management from 2013 to 2015, GRAAS Operations Manager, Supplier Quality Management from 2011 to 2013, and Regulatory Affairs Manager from 2008 to 2011.

Before joining the pharmaceutical industry, Melanie had experience in other sectors. Melanie worked at AMX Financial/Golden Pacific Mortgage as an Operations Manager and Business Owner from 2004 to 2008. Prior to that, they were a Project Analyst at the Los Angeles Unified School District in 2003 and a Project Manager at Health Net from February 2003 to September 2003.

Melanie's earlier work experience includes roles as a Project Manager/Survey Research Director at the RAND Corporation from 1996 to 2003 and a Project Assistant at Atlantic Records from 1994 to 1996.
