Phil McManus

Phil McManus serves as the Head of Strategic Finance at Virgin Atlantic since July 2019, leading a team focused on the airline's medium to long-term financial performance, strategic decision-making, financial insight, benchmarking, and sustainability modeling. Previously, Phil held roles at Virgin Atlantic as Senior Manager of Financial Planning, overseeing the airline's strategic financial initiatives, and was a critical member of the Covid response team. Their past experience includes nearly eight years at Deloitte UK, where Phil worked as an Assistant Director in Advisory Corporate Finance, focusing on financial risk assessment and cash liquidity for global businesses, as well as serving in the roles of Corporate Finance Manager and Assistant Manager in Audit and Assurance. Phil's educational background includes qualifications from ICAEW and the Association of Corporate Treasurers, complemented by a First Class Honours degree in Mathematics and Management from Loughborough University.
